Top 5 Online Lesson and E-Learning Platforms

There are many e-learning websites out there which have good content but in this article I will recommend the top listed and mostly free ones that offer students reliable content and inspiring online study.

  1. Khan Academy
Khan Academy is on a mission to give a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. Their learning resources are personalised and available for all ages. They provide a mix of video and text-based materials in some traditional academic subjects, like Maths, Science, Economics etc. They are particularly appealing to young kids with their avatars and badges earning mechanism.

  2. Corbettmaths
This fabulous UK site offers many resources for Maths practice with answers and video lessons. Choose 5-a-day for a large selection of printable daily worksheets or Conundrums if you are ready to go further and challenge yourself with some daily brainteasers.

  3. Codecademy

You could tell from the name, Codecademy teaches people how to code and it’s available for free. They allow students to select their goal or learning objective and then recommend the right course for that student. Their courses are very motivational using supportive groups and a game points system. They offers courses on a number of languages, including PHP, Phython and Ruby...

  4. TED-Ed
Every student should watch TED-Ed, just like every adult knows Ted. TED-Ed is a great resource for students and teachers looking for inspiration, education, and maybe even some fun. The videos and animations are highly engaging, often less than 10 minutes, and they do a great job of presenting complex content in comprehensible ways.

  5. Udemy

All the above recommendations are mostly free except this one, which I strongly recommend for youngsters who are deciding which degree to study in university and perhaps further, what they want to pursue in their career. Udemy hosts mostly paid video tutorials in a wide range of general topics including personal development, design, marketing, lifestyle, photography, software, health, music, language etc that is perfect for them to have a taste of the real-world and find out what really interests them for the next 10 or 20 years.
